~The more you compare beers, the more fun summer becomes.~ Tsuyama's summer tradition, the "National Craft Beer Festa in Tsuyama," is back again this year. Having grown over 28 years, this event has become synonymous with summer in Tsuyama. For its momentous 29th edition in 2026, it will be held for three consecutive Saturdays. The aroma of craft beers from all over Japan fills the shopping streets at dusk. Voices of conversation with beers in hand, smoke wafting from food stalls, and background music filling the air.
A summer tradition! The limited-edition “Tsuyama Roll,” made with mangoes from Miyako Island, is now on sale!! (2026)
The "Tsuyama Roll Summer Version," made with mangoes from Miyako Island, was created in 2014 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the sister city relationship and is sold only during the summer. The 2026 summer version of the local sweet "Tsuyama Roll," made with dough using 100% Tsuyama-grown wheat "Fukuhonoka," has been released. Eight shops in Tsuyama City, Kagamino Town, and Misaki Town have each created their own unique product using plenty of Miyako Island mangoes (please refer to the PDF below for details).
